
Robb Tallas Biography
Robb Tallas currently serves as the goaltending coach for the Florida Panthers. Throughout his eight year tenure with the team,
he has been responsible for the training and monitoring of all the goaltenders in the Panthers organization.
He has been responsible for working with some of the top goalies in the National Hockey League including Florida Panthers goaltenders Roberto Luongo, Al Montoya, Tim Thomas, Jose Theodore, Dan Ellis and Scott Clemmensen.
Tallas also has helped train elite NHL goalies such as Pittsburgh’s Tomas Vokoun and as well as many goalies currently
playing in the NHL and other professional levels.
The Edmonton, Alberta native enjoyed a 13-year playing career, including playing for the Boston Bruins (1995-2000),
Chicago Blackhawks (2000-01) and Pittsburgh Penguins (2001-03). Tallas, who was never drafted, also spent time playing
the Western Hockey League, American Hockey League, International Hockey League , Finnish Elite League and Austrian
Elite League.
Tallas, who resides in South Florida, also serves as the Head Goalie Director at the Florida Panthers practice facility, the
Panthers Ice Den. He has founded Robb Tallas Goalie Development camps and Elite camps which are conducted at the
Panthers Ice Den located in Coral Springs, FL.
Tallas serves as the head instructor for the Florida Panthers goalie schools and also provides one-on-one instruction
to aspiring goaltenders. Additionally for the last nine years, Tallas organizes and directs South Florida Prospect Camp
featuring more than 130 players who aspire to play at the professional level.
